Youth Soccer Referee Certification for games played by MYSC players is administered by the Connecticut State Referee Program (CSRP) and U.S. Soccer Learning Center

New Referee Certification (Grassroots Training) is currently open.

Candidates for Referee Grassroots Training must be 13 years old as of registration date.

The referee will also need to purchase the uniform and necessary equipment.

Referees currently certified for 2022:

On-line recertification for 2023 is now open.  The cost is $77.50 for under 18.  If 18 or older you will also need to complete an annual SafeSport cerification and periodic background check (additional fees may be required).

Refereeing for MYSC:

Certified referees should wear the complete uniform specified by US Soccer; several acceptable uniform options (including women's fit) can be found at officialsports.com or other vendors

For new referees only, certification fees are reimbursed by MYSC once 3 games have been officiated
